Down-at-heel cinema owners use the auditorium to grow mushrooms.
The first film to be released theatrically in the Welsh language, it seems apposite that in today's film-making climate the subject for such an endeavour should be today's film-showing climate. The subject, however, is broader than the cinema: the premise of The Smallest Show on Earth is crossed with the unlikely Forsyth touch of That Sinking Feeling. All very unassuming and inconsequential, but not without charm in its gentle understatement. The title refers to a number from Gypsy.
