In a town some forty kilometres east of the capital, on the sixteenth anniversary of the Romanian revolution, a talk show host prepares to gather what contributors he can to a phone-in special examining the question of whether the locals indeed participated in the uprising or allowed themselves merely to be borne along on its coat tails.
A dry character comedy boasting a number of well-observed scenes between the locals and its protagonists gives way to a second half consisting of a delicious real-time parody of a quietly disastrous TV show, with callers insulting the one guest professing to having been out on the streets before the all-important time of 12:08. Satire as subtle as this doesn't happen by often these days.
