Director: Andrew Haigh
Cast: Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, Claire Foy, Jamie Bell
Synopsis:
A solitary scriptwriter inhabiting a high-rise apartment block makes the acquaintance of a neighbour during a fire drill, through whom he mysteriously regains contact with the parents he lost as a child.
Review:
They should have called it 'All the Lonely People', this 'Carnival of Lost Souls' for the Grenfell Tower generation. Why two gay men? Because they are more likely to be lonesome? Or to examine how much attitudes have changed since his parents were alive. There's material for a short treatment here, but it's a long wait for the funereal payoff.
