Are You Being Served? (1977)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: col 95m
Director: Bob Kellett
Cast: John Inman, Frank Thornton, Mollie Sugden

Synopsis:

The personnel of the Grace Bros department store takes a vacation to the Costa Plonka (sic) while the premises are being refurbished, and find themselves in the midst of a revolution.

Review:

Cringingly reminiscent of Carry On Abroad, this movie spin-off of a popular half-hour show is not even set in familiar surroundings, the first law of film adaptation. Coarseness abounds, and I don't just mean the pussy gags; as for the production, the closest it gets to any kind of Costa is Heathrow Airport.
