Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: DeLuxe 95m
Director: Jay Roach
Cast: Mike Myers, Heather Graham, Michael York, Robert Wagner, Rob Lowe, Elizabeth Hurley

Synopsis:

The dentally challenged secret agent is sent back to 1967 by time machine in order to foil the renewed nefariousness of Dr Evil, who has stolen the cryogenically frozen Powers's 'Mojo', or libidinal force.

Review:

Unfortunately the Mojo seems to have been drained from this tired sequel which repeats what new gags it has ad nauseam when it is not resurrecting the old ones. The only bonus is the character of Mini-Me, which gives the You Only Live Twice scenario at least a modicum of novelty value; on the down side we have Myers's third incarnation: Fat Bastard, a scatological Scot who combines the worst of Les Patterson with the cleverest of Eddie Murphy, with content triumphing depressingly over form.
