Babes in Toyland (1934)

£0.00

(March of the Wooden Soldiers)

Country: US
Technical: bw 77m
Director: Gus Meins, Charles Rogers
Cast: Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, Charlotte Henry

Synopsis:

Stan and Ollie play Santa's helpers in Toyland who attempt to come to the aid of Little Bo Peep and her mother, only too unleash the vengeful army of Barnaby Barnacle.

Review:

Unusual star comedy with fantasy operetta trimmings, no doubt inspired by the need for a more substantial action on which to hang the duo's comic business, that and the early sound vogue for musicals. Not the best of their features, but not bad.
