Bee Movie (2007)

£0.00

Country: US/AUS
Technical: col 91m
Director: Steve Hickner, Simon J. Smith
Cast: Voice cast: Jerry Seinfeld, Renée Zellweger, Matthew Broderick, John Goodman

Synopsis:

A worker bee recoils from the prospect of doing the same task for the rest of his life, and goes on a journey into the big city that leads to some shattering discoveries about human beings and their relationship with honey.

Review:

Basing a human-bee integrated story on the premise that insects can talk to humans, not to mention be heard in court, was always going to be a long shot, but this does at least make topical points about the creatures' role in our ecosystem, and gets a certain amount of mileage from the witty script and comic playing of Seinfeld and Zellweger.
