Black Sunday (1960)

£0.00

(La maschera del Demonio)

Country: IT
Technical: bw 84m
Director: Mario Bava
Cast: Barbara Steele, John Richardson

Synopsis:

A witch is put to death in an iron maiden, but comes back to revenge herself on her oppressors.

Review:

Full-blooded European horror, catapulting Steele to cult stardom. Like the peplum and spaghetti western, it made up in gusto and visual bravura (here the cinematography is superb) for what it lacked in the dialogue and acting departments, which are pretty cheesy.
