Bodyguard (2018)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: col/16:9 TV mini-series: 6 episodes (360m)
Director: Jed Mercurio
Cast: Richard Madden, Sophie Rundle, Keeley Hawes, Gina McKee, Vincent Franklin

Synopsis:

A Scottish veteran of Afghanistan is assigned to protect the Home Secretary when he proves his mettle in a suicide bomber incident on a commuter train.

Review:

Nail-biting thriller drama which dips its feet into the treacherous waters of homeland security and race politics and scored one of the more noted coups of national viewership since television went multi-channel. Madden does an excellent job as the embattled police officer juggling traumatic memories and emotional engagement.
