La belle captive (1983)

£0.00

Country: FR
Technical: Eastmancolor/1.66:1 90m
Director: Alain Robbe-Grillet
Cast: Daniel Mesguich, Cyrielle Clair, Daniel Emilfork, Gabrielle Lazure, Arielle Dombasle

Synopsis:

A secret agent driving en route to an important assignment happens upon the inert body of the girl he met in a bar earlier, and takes her to get help. Is she a phantom, vampire, a dream, or the ex-wife of the man to whom he must deliver an important message?

Review:

Robbe-Grillet again explores various policier/giallo tropes while pausing to admire a beach viewed through a picture frame or the diaphanously attired twirling figure of the elusive titular blonde. Seek not to know the answer but to be confounded, as he constantly reverses expectations.
