The Blue Dahlia (1946)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: bw 99m
Director: George Marshall
Cast: Alan Ladd, Veronica Lake, William Bendix, Howard Da Silva

Synopsis:

An ex-serviceman is suddenly under suspicion of his wife's untimely death, for which he had every motive.

Review:

A Chandler screenplay set around the titular nightclub, a faithless wife and a returning soldier: we are clearly in the realms of film noir, and this reunited the star coupling of This Gun for Hire and The Glass Key, both equally good.
