Coup de foudre (1983)

£0.00

(At First Sight)

Country: FR
Technical: col/scope 111m
Director: Diane Kurys
Cast: Miou-Miou, Isabelle Huppert, Guy Marchand

Synopsis:

After the war a close friendship binds two women together through marital difficulties and ill health.

Review:

Very sensitive story of platonic love, partly autobiographical, Huppert's character being based on the director's mother. Inexplicably shot in 'scope with the full French treatment, lush score and all, but with the best of contemporary acting talent too: Miou-Miou in particular gives an immensely moving performance without our ever knowing what ails her physically.
