La collectionneuse (1967)

£0.00

(The Collector)

Country: FR
Technical: Eastmancolor 89m
Director: Eric Rohmer
Cast: Patrick Bauchau, Haydée Politoff, Daniel Pommereulle, Alain Jouffroy

Synopsis:

A girl who 'collects' men comes across one man, an antique dealer in collectors' items, who almost succeeds in using his morality and analysis of the girl herself to block his inevitable addition to the list of victims.

Review:

Fourth of the director's Contes Moraux, with something of a resemblance to the first of Borowczyk's Contes Immoraux! Peppered with literary dialogue, however, this is a wrily dim view of man's willing enslavement to woman.
