The Conqueror (1956)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/scope 112m
Director: Dick Powell
Cast: John Wayne, Susan Hayward, Pedro Armendariz, Agnes Moorehead

Synopsis:

Temujin snatches the daughter of his Tartar enemy and embroils his tribe in various feuds.

Review:

The classic Western format (a fight at the start, a fight at the end, and lots of cross and double-cross in between) is enlivened with phallic weaponry and dancing girls, but the archaic English dialogue is too much for the Duke. A film so deliriously bad that it becomes enjoyable.
