Some ten years after the events of Deadwood (2004-06), Calamity returns to find Hearst attempting to buy Charlie Utter's piece of riverside land and Trixie having a baby.
Review:
More like a feature-length TV episode than a film, but of interest for its ageing cast, this frontier western does not recapture the day by day intensity of its forbear, nor generate sufficiently climactic drama to offer newcomers to the property a sense of cohesion. Two or three makeshift flashbacks for the benefit of the latter probably do more harm than good in reminding us what we are missing. However, fans will find much to enjoy nevertheless.
