Duel (1971)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 90m TV
Director: Steven Spielberg
Cast: Dennis Weaver

Synopsis:

A commuter is first stalked, then run off the road by an HGV, but we never find out why.

Review:

What started as a single-idea TV movie was given a little bit more of an intro for a cinema release, not that it could disguise the holes in the scenario. Whether you ultimately tire of Weaver as travelling companion, or simply scream at him to get off the road, the important thing was the opportunity it afforded Spielberg to sharpen his tools.
