The Departed (2006)

£0.00

Country: US/HK
Technical: Technicolor/2.35:1 151m
Director: Martin Scorsese
Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin, Ray Winstone, Vera Farmiga

Synopsis:

Two rookies make the Boston police force, one in the Special Investigations Unit, while in fact being an informant for the biggest underworld boss in the city; the other for undercover operations, as a mole in the criminal's operations.

Review:

Scorsese remakes the Hong Kong Infernal Affairs films in his profane, matter-of-factly violent idiom. Several notable actors deliver decent performances - DiCaprio an excellent one - and as usual cinematography and editing are second to none.
