The Divorce of Lady X (1937)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: col 92m
Director: Tim Whelan
Cast: Laurence Olivier, Merle Oberon, Binnie Barnes

Synopsis:

When a flighty woman shares his hotel room for the night, the smitten divorce lawyer mistakenly believes he is co-respondent for his most recent client.

Review:

Fairly racy comedy for its day, with early colour for London Films, and the cast in good form. The opening hotel scene goes on for too long, smacking of the theatre in what might easily have been a piece of Coward flummery, and Rozsa's Hollywoodian commentary drives you crazy after a while.
