The Electric Horseman (1979)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/scope 120m
Director: Sydney Pollack
Cast: Robert Redford, Jane Fonda

Synopsis:

A cowboy employed to ride a horse for a commercial takes off on it across country when he considers it is being exploited. A glamorous reporter takes up his story.

Review:

Stirring, but pleasantly light, tale with a moral dimension. It combines the crusading politics of such as The China Syndrome with all that romanticism about the cowboy past, the Western past, and finally the Robert Redford Western past. The stars, still in their prime ten years after Barefoot in the Park, are at their most sympathetic and Pollack's pace is leisurely.
