Fury (2014)

£0.00

Country: GB/CHI/US
Technical: col/2.35:1 134m
Director: David Ayer
Cast: Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jason Isaacs

Synopsis:

In the dying days of World War Two, a Sherman tank finds itself deep inside Germany fighting a rearguard action against child recruits and diehard SS elements.

Review:

Surely the definitive WW2 tank movie, and one which conveys the ambivalent realities of war better than most others. 'Best job I ever had', say the closeknit crewmembers to each other, but there are plenty of reminders of just how dehumanising the whole sorry business was, and how wasteful. That said, the closing moments somehow set one thinking of The Wild Bunch.
