The Falcon and the Snowman (1985)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 123m
Director: John Schlesinger
Cast: Timothy Hutton, Sean Penn, David Suchet

Synopsis:

Two boys of upper middle-class background sell secrets to the Soviet embassy in Mexico.

Review:

A true story and an absorbing one, though the fundamental oversight of the main character is never broached: he becomes disgusted with the CIA because of its involvement in smaller governments such as Australia's, not because of their handling of national security vis à vis the Soviets. His reaction, which jeopardises the latter and has nothing to do with the former, is therefore misdirected.
