Genevieve (1953)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: col 86m
Director: Henry Cornelius
Cast: Dinah Sheridan, John Gregson, Kay Kendall, Kenneth More

Synopsis:

Two couples take part in a London-Brighton vintage car rally, the competitive spirit between the men very much alive.

Review:

A film which quickly won its way into the nation's affections, so vibrant is its colour, so accomplished the star performances. In addition, the premise allows for constant to-ing and fro-ing in the fortunes of the competitors, meaning that neither is long the audience favourite. One suspects the cultural attitudes have dated somewhat now, but the charm will remain, however quaintly, secure.
