Gun Fury (1953)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: Technicolor/3-D 83m
Director: Raoul Walsh
Cast: Rock Hudson, Donna Reed, Philip Carey, Leo Gordon

Synopsis:

A rancher from the South comes to meet his fiancée after the Civil War, en route to their spread in California. She is, however, travelling with other Southern gentlemen fixing to hold up the stage.

Review:

Carey is the charming villain with a penchant for the ladies who makes the strongest impression in this standard Columbia western, pepped up with crude 3-D effects. Walsh directs some typically sinewy action sequences, with token brutality and stunning, positively verdant Arizona locations, but a compelling chase resolves itself into a succession of routine face-offs.
