The Ghoul (1975)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: col 87m
Director: Freddie Francis
Cast: Peter Cushing, Alexandra Bastedo, John Hurt, Veronica Carlson

Synopsis:

A former missionary keeps his insane, cannibalistic son locked in the attic, but he escapes to feast on the upper-class participants of a car rally.

Review:

Terrible sub-Hammer horror, in which the nastiness is half-hearted, the clichés all-embracing, and John Hurt delivers one of his worst performances ever. The use of optical wipes does little to diminish the antiquated feel of the whole tired exercise.
