Heavens Above! (1963)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: bw 118m
Director: John Boulting, Roy Boulting
Cast: Peter Sellers, Isabel Jeans, Cecil Parker, Brock Peters, Ian Carmichael, Bernard Miles

Synopsis:

Through a clerical error (ha!), the wrong John Smallwood is sent to take up the post of vicar to a well-to-do parish, not 'one of us' as Lady Despard would have it, but a prole clergyman from the north of England.

Review:

The Boultings' C. of E. satire has a deliciously gentle portrayal from Sellers and a collection of the usual types in its cast of characters, but does not quite have the bite of its forerunners.
