Honky Tonk Freeway (1981)

£0.00

(Honkytonk Freeway)

Country: US/GB
Technical: col 107m
Director: John Schlesinger
Cast: William Devane, Beau Bridges, Teri Garr, Beverly D'Angelo

Synopsis:

When a local politician's bribery scheme fails to ensure that his Florida town gets its exit on the new interstate under construction, the town's residents take matters into their own hands.

Review:

The film that broke Schlesinger's charmed run of successes on both sides of the Atlantic. Not that it is terrible or devoid of laughs as satires go, just that it is deeply disappointing that so much money was wasted on such unpromising material, and no one saw it would be a flop.
