Country: MOR/FR/QA/BEL/SAU
Technical: col 94m
Director: Kamal Lazraq
Cast: Ayoub Elaid, Abdellatif Masstouri, Abdellatif Lebkiri

Synopsis:

In the lower depths of Casablanca rival bosses fall out over a dogfight, and the loser hires father and son drifters to help him get revenge. But they mess up, and spend the night trying to get rid of the body.

Review:

It's not every day we see a film from Morocco, and it is to be expected that this first feature bears the influence of films like Amores Perros and La Haine. A genre mishmash that goes from neo-realism to film noir via flashes of horror and gallows humour, it is a microcosmic portrait of societal issues for the unemployed masses in the developing world, with an at times incongruous respect for religious values and practices shaded in.
