The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/2.35:1 146m
Director: Francis Lawrence
Cast: Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth, Donald Sutherland, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Stanley Tucci

Synopsis:

Katniss Everdeen's success becomes a thorn in the side of President Snow, who devises a scheme to be rid of her during the 75th Hunger Games: all former champions will compete together in the arena, a vast tropical biodome centred around a mechanical clock face (computer game, anyone?)

Review:

We have to wait an hour before this episode's twist is revealed, and boy, is it tedious. The contest itself is confused and riddled with absurdities, and we are supposed to believe in some nascent chemistry between Miss Everdeen and the saintly Peeta. Definitely for fans of the book only, but further proof of the potency of the teenage female market for Hollywood.
