Country: US/IT
Technical: col/2.00:1 89m
Director: Michael Mohan
Cast: Sydney Sweeney, Álvaro Morte, Benedetta Porcaroli, Simona Tabasco
Synopsis:
A devout Catholic girl from Michigan takes her vows at a grandiose Italian convent and finds herself the centre of a plot to engineer the Second Coming.
Review:
Knocking most cloistered nun movies and Dario Argento giallo into a cocked hat, this agreeably terse horror benefits from superior cinematography and a performance from Sweeney that harnesses all the rage of a woman whose power over her own body has been usurped. Is it an anti-christ movie, too? On that it leaves you guessing.
