Ivanhoe (1952)

£0.00

Country: GB/US
Technical: col 106m
Director: Richard Thorpe
Cast: Robert Taylor, Joan Fontaine, Elizabeth Taylor, George Sanders

Synopsis:

Ivanhoe and Robin of Locksley conspire to free the captive King Richard I and set him back on the throne of England.

Review:

Sir Walter Scott's romantic novel makes for a colourful MGM production, even if historically it is of course total twaddle. Still, if you like your jousting accompanied by gasping ladies in waiting, and don't mind Hollywood making crass mistakes about European distances, this will amuse.
