Kelly + Victor (2012)

£0.00

Country: Eire/GB
Technical: col/1.78:1 95m
Director: Kieran Evans
Cast: Antonia Campbell-Hughes, Julian Morris

Synopsis:

A young dock worker meets an apparently fragile, indeed damaged girl and strikes up a passionate relationship, little aware that her penchant for dangerous sex games may lead to his death.

Review:

Low budget British film at its most typical, the proletarian characters somehow at odds with the prevailing formalism. For minutes we observe while little is expressed beyond the banal, and ponder, ‘Hmm, yes. The underclass is so numb from the pain that it must resort to this.’ The UK critical fraternity of course could do nothing but applaud.
