King of New York (1990)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 103m
Director: Abel Ferrara
Cast: Christopher Walken, David Caruso, Larry Fishburne, Victor Argo

Synopsis:

Crime boss Frank White gets out of jail and sets about eliminating rivals who decline his offers and striking back at the cops who in their frustration try to kill him.

Review:

Presented as a kind of de facto mayor, only with more power and ambitions of making grand public gestures, the Walken character is almost benevolent; except that he is played with that psychotic edginess peculiar to this actor and that Ferrara piles on the Prince of Darkness imagery which the name White only too blatantly belies.
