Knife + Heart (2018)

£0.00

(Un couteau dans le cœur)

Country: FR/MEX/SW
Technical: col/bw/2.35:1 102m
Director: Yann Gonzalez
Cast: Vanessa Paradis, Nicolas Maury, Kate Moran, Romane Bohringer

Synopsis:

A lovelorn, dipsomaniac director of gay porn movies finds her team is being targeted by a serial killer, but is distracted by her need to win back her editor lover.

Review:

Set in 1979, this homage to both giallo and Seventies porno captivated film critics because of its gender-pivoting characterisations and unabashed sense of style, but is otherwise a repetitive retread of genre tropes (childhood trauma, disfigurement, transference of guilt).
