Koyaanisqatsi (1983)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 86m
Director: Godfrey Reggio
Cast: doc.

Synopsis:

Prophesies from the Hopi language are apparently realized through footage of modern America.

Review:

The title means 'life out of balance' inter alia, and Glass's setting of these words combine with images of man's activity on the planet shot at varying speeds to produce a perversely beautiful, at times mystical, experience. Repeated viewings reveal intricacies of structure and juxtaposition which are variously wry or heavy-handed.
