The Ketchup Effect (2004)

£0.00

Country: SV/DK/FIN
Technical: col
Director: Teresa Fabik
Cast: Amanda Renberg, Björn Kjellman, Filip Berg

Synopsis:

A thirteen year-old daughter of single teacher dad new to the school is photographed in compromising positions by louts at a party and ostracized by her peer group for being a tart.

Review:

A potent concoction of commonplaces about the pains of adolescence, but one so persuasively acted by its ever so ordinary looking cast that one believes in and roots for the characters. The prima donna-like gestures of the heroine try one's patience, but then she has been the centre of her father's life and by all accounts her mum was a pain. At any rate the actress carries the movie.
