Lady Chatterley's Lover (1981)

£0.00

Country: GB/FR
Technical: col 104m
Director: Just Jaeckin
Cast: Sylvia Kristel, Nicholas Clay

Synopsis:

Her husband in a wheelchair, Lady Chatterley satisfies her sexual needs in the arms of her gamekeeper.

Review:

Risible porno-chic adaptation along the lines of the Emmanuelle films, with luscious soft-focus photography and wooden performances. Even the later Russell version is preferable. Classic moments of banality include the first appearance of Clifford in his motorised buggy, the nocturnal flight to the reassuring verticality of a garden oak tree and lines like, 'I thought I'd try my hand again'.
