Last Holiday (1950)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: bw 88m
Director: Henry Cass
Cast: Alec Guinness, Kay Walsh, Beatrice Campbell

Synopsis:

A farm machinery salesman is given weeks to live and resigns his position, taking up residence in an exclusive coastal hotel. There he meets opportunities he would never have dreamed of.

Review:

Semi-supernatural tale, acted with delicacy and precision by the principals, and with a Priestley-like cynicism towards human nature. In a clever stroke the unlucky signs of Guinness's fate are everywhere and persistent, but ascribed by the viewer to other causes.
