By now familiar cinematic sleight of hand, with cryptic expressions like 'Kansas City Shuffle' and a pair of underwhelming villains (Freeman cast against type here). It swaggers stylishly through its paces, maintaining that Hartnett's protagonist suffers from an obscure condition that prevents him from feeling anxiety, but never satisfactorily explains all its little tricks involving transplanted bodies, exchanged watches, empty apartments etc. Meat for a quiet night in but little to stir the blood.
