The Lawnmower Man (1992)

£0.00

Country: GB/US
Technical: col 108m
Director: Brett Leonard
Cast: Jeff Fahey, Pierce Brosnan

Synopsis:

A scientist working on a government programme using computers and drugs to enhance the IQ of chimps acquires a human guinea pig in the form of the local backward odd-job man. However the results are more dramatic than he had ever dreamt.

Review:

A topical film, as people were discussing the far from beneficial effects on children's brains of prolonged exposure to computer games. But this issue is only subliminally addressed and when it is not being flashy with virtual-reality cyber effects the film is hackneyed in the usual SF/conspiracy thriller ways.
