The Last Remake of Beau Geste (1977)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 85m
Director: Marty Feldman
Cast: Marty Feldman, Ann-Margret, Michael York, Trevor Howard

Synopsis:

The Geste brothers join the foreign legion to keep their father's priceless sapphire safe from his fortune hunting wife.

Review:

One would have thought they might have simply put it in a safety deposit box, but no matter, this is but a pretext on which to hang a spoof of Beau Geste films, Carry On included, incorporating one last run on some veteran British comic talents. The fact that it is more miss than hit is regrettable but possibly down to one man (Feldman) having too much control.
