The List of Adrian Messenger (1963)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: bw 98m
Director: John Huston
Cast: George C. Scott, Kirk Douglas, Clive Brook, Dana Wynter, Burt Lancaster, Tony Curtis, Robert Mitchum

Synopsis:

A former Intelligence operative is given a list of names, some of whom have died in mysterious circumstances, by the heir to a Scottish estate. Can he make sense of it before the surviving names are dispatched?

Review:

Terrifically cast, hugely entertaining mystery thriller, devised almost as an end-of-year revue for the director and friends, some of whom do very little other than peel off their disguises over the credits. It is, however, a simple story well told, and with humour.
