£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: col 116m
Director: Jack Clayton
Cast: Maggie Smith, Bob Hoskins, Wendy Hiller

Synopsis:

In a 1950s Dublin boarding house, a spinster who gets by giving piano lessons is emboldened to fall in love with a fellow resident, who mistakenly believes she has the money to help him set up in business.

Review:

Touching story of misplaced affection, made more poignant by its period setting. Perfectly well acted, but there is a sense of going through the motions in the presentation.
