Les Misérables (1957)

£0.00

Country: FR/IT/GDR
Technical: col/scope 210m
Director: Jean-Paul Le Chanois
Cast: Jean Gabin, Bernard Blier, Bourvil, Serge Reggiani

Synopsis:

A former convict becomes mayor of Montreuil and the author of good works, but is pursued by his former jailor, now an inspector of police.

Review:

Prestige production but with awkward lapses of continuity and poor dubbing of the music track from sequence to sequence. The lead's is an uninspiring performance, but it is generally well cast.
