Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985)

£0.00

Country: AUS
Technical: col/scope 106m
Director: George Miller
Cast: Mel Gibson, Tina Turner

Synopsis:

Max fights in the Thunderdome and meets a group of children who have formed their own society.

Review:

Meaninglessly titled sequel, an example of what happens when too much money and too few new ideas are thrown at a franchise. The violence borders on slapstick, there are numerous jokes about pig shit, and the aberrant middle section ventures into Star Trek whimsy. The climactic return to form is almost an afterthought: apparently the film had two directors, no doubt each using his own script.
