Vaguely environmental tale turning to horror, although the censor seemed far more intent on preserving us from flashes of pubic hair than the graphic violence. Very much I Spit on Your Grave in thrust and aesthetic: the abused heroine must lose her reason before exacting vengeance, gaining supernatural powers but also losing agency. The happy ending is perplexing.
