The Mechanic (1972)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 100m
Director: Michael Winner
Cast: Charles Bronson, Jan-Michael Vincent, Keenan Wynn

Synopsis:

A hitman wanting to retire takes a young pretender under his wing, but could it be a sentimental gesture he will regret?

Review:

Smartly made thriller, with plenty of action, but, alas, the star cannot sustain an existentialist drama of this kind. The downbeat ending underscores the movie's pretensions about 'standing on the outside', and unfortunately that is precisely where it leaves its unengaged audience.
