The Marseille Contract (1974)

£0.00

(The Destructors, The Vortex Conspiracy)

Country: GB/FR
Technical: col 89m
Director: Robert Parrish
Cast: Michael Caine, Anthony Quinn, James Mason, Maurice Ronet, Alexandra Stewart

Synopsis:

U.S. Intelligence hires a contract killer to take out a drug baron when they fail to get him fair and square. The hitman turns out to be an old friend of the American agent.

Review:

Big deal... Coming as it did after The French Connection, this bears distinct signs of 'borrowed robes'. It is a 'paint by numbers' continental co-production, using star power and pretty young actresses to distract its audience from their ennui. (Presumably American audiences had not heard of Marseilles.)
