The Mummy's Ghost (1944)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: bw 60m
Director: Reginald LeBorg
Cast: John Carradine, George Zucco

Synopsis:

At this point the Universal series abandoned the revenge motif and turned instead to the old yarn of the Princess Ananka reincarnation: our hero falls in love with a girl who is the spitten image of the Princess (no accident there) but is deprived of her caresses when she reverts, She-like, to her actual age.

Review:

A change of tack does little to relieve the sense of a franchise going through its paces, a fact hardly helped by the repetitive music used from film to film. At the end Kharis takes Ananka to the bottom of the swamp, whence he will rise again in The Mummy's Curse!
