Obsession (1976)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/scope 98m
Director: Brian De Palma
Cast: Cliff Robertson, Geneviève Bujold, John Lithgow

Synopsis:

A New Orleans businessman loses his wife, then becomes infatuated with a young woman who resembles her, following her and trying to reconstruct his lost love.

Review:

Familiar? Yes, well, it's De Palma again imitating his master, this time opting for Vertigo, even to the extent of hiring the same composer. It is actually pretty good, changing enough details to disguise the borrowings, and carrying off a certain sombre fatalism rather well.
