£0.00

(Cavale)

Country: FR/BEL
Technical: Dejonghe 114m
Director: Lucas Belvaux
Cast: Catherine Frot, Lucas Belvaux, Dominique Blanc, Ornella Muti

Synopsis:

A communist committed to armed struggle is sprung from prison and makes his way to the Savoie region where are to be found his ex and the man who betrayed him. Meanwhile he plans a new set of terrorist attacks from his basement garage hideout and befriends a drug addicted wife of a police officer.

Review:

Po-faced thriller, a strange opener to a trilogy of films, whose hero at first elicits our admiration for his survival skills but gradually forfeits all of our sympathy by the time he disappears into a crevasse.
